Default "anticipative" question for live use?

I've read a bunch of threads on this feature but I'm still confused...

If i only use Reaper for playing live via MIDI interfaces and just record bounced audio, but use a lot of midi JS/FX/VST's and audio FX like reverb, delay, etc. should I leave anticipative FX checked or turn it off?

Honestly, I've tried it both ways, but don't notice a difference, but maybe I just have not run into a situation where it matters?

Anyway, as a rule of thumb, for live performance (i.e. all tracks empty of any "items", just VST's & FX in tracks), on or off for anticipative?

AfxP is actually disabled for record-armed tracks.

Thanks!
