Default Berhinger Xtouch MCU question

Is this correct: the small Behringer Xtouch "compact" is not MCU compliant because it has 7bit faders and encoders and there is also a problem with assigning layers, yet the bigger Xtouch (with the rotary knob and less encoders) works fine with MCU and CSI.

The "Compact" can be switched to MC mode and then it indeed is (kind of) compatible.

And indeed it (for a reason that I don't understand as the same fader hardware in the "USB", "Extender" and "One" product do provide 11 ? bits) it only sends 7 bit information, blown up by dummy bits in MC mode.

This of course is not perfect for use as a decent "mixer" hardware.

I do hope, there will be a firmware update mending this issue some day...

So the bigger Xtouch is the less trouble free route, it's shame it has less encoders.
