Default Manipulating Stereo signals?

Is it possible to manipulate each channel of a stereo signal independantly within reaper?

For example, pan an acoustic guitar to around 30% left and compress only whatever is left over in the right channel, or add your reverb to the right channel or left channel only

Can I perhaps use Gpan or something to do this?

Yes. More than one way. And you only need REAPER.

You can route left and right separately, not just as a stereo pair. You can take sends off one channel or the other or both.
You can take sends pre or post FX.
Stereo sends have their own pan control also.
You can treat everything as receives instead of sends, with the same results.

All these goodies under the routing button for the track.

You can mix or swap left and right with the JS plugin "channelmixer". There are a couple of compressors and a bunch of other effects included also.
