Default Getting rid of double and triple effects listings?

HI, I had trouble awhile back getting the FX list to update...so I went in and added some folders into the Reaper area, updated and all went fine. However, I noticed I have double and triple of all my Waves, Reaper effects, and a few others, some that were in the VST area.

Now, how can I slice them off or get the doubles and triples out of there? I can't figure it out, as it never happened to me before, but sure you know a simple way. Thanks for listening and assisting, psingman

In Options/Preferences/VST press the "Clear Cache and Rescan Directory" button.

get all of your VST out of the REAPER dir

(re)start REAPER

in 'preferences/VST'
insert an address which leads to an empty dir

fe.
X:\Program Files\REAPER\Plugins\lala\

lala is empty

... clear cache and scan lala

normally, FX window shows all REAPER native Plugins once...

fresh start...

cheers
