Default MIDI over OSC

Is it possible to send MIDI messages over OSC? I have been struggling for some hours now...

In a VST plugin I hit "learn", and the OSC message is recognized, let's say /vkb_midi/1/note/36 (channel 1, midi note 36). All good.

But when I send the OSC message again, nothing happens... How come?

This is the full OSC message I am sending from a Linux box:
sendosc 10.20.30.50 9000 /vkb_midi/1/note/36 i 100

Of course. You can close to always use some protocol to tunnel some other protocol.

Regarding Midi and OSC; OSCIIBot can be used to pack and unpack the messages.
