Default Laptop for REAPER & 18i20?

Hi. I need to get a laptop for mobile recording. It doesn't have to be anything crazy, but I do need:

- Stable REAPER operation at low ASIO buffers while...
- recording up to 16 tracks of 24-bit/88.2KHz .wav files.
- with a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 USB interface.
- Also, low noise drives & fans.

I have an i7 2600K DAW PC for mixing & mastering, so I don't need to worry too much about plug-in CPU usage on the laptop. A few ReaComps & ReaEQs here & there should do the trick while monitoring a recording session.

Thanks,
Mike

Or just a laptop for general REAPER use? I know asking for 18i20 support will yield less responses. Are we at that point now where laptops are so fast that the kinds of problems we had, say, 10 years ago, are no longer present?

Are there any chipsets or CPUs to avoid when buying a laptop for audio?

Thanks,
Mike

Lenovo makes B590 4giga RAM engines with ok components - you get the whole think with software for 350€. It works fast, quiet, well with the Focusrite and W8.
For even better work I would recommend you a computer with only an 256GB SSD disk and 8giga RAM - somewhere around 900€. With the latter you can even make movies already.
