Default js loopers record input sources

hi all, i know there are some js loopers that come with reaper, what input sources can these loopers record from, can they record from sound card inputs track sends and derectly from the track there placed on? or are there any input sources that the js loopers can not record from? your help with this question would be most welcome, kind regards trey.

Well I haven't tried them, but I'd imagine they just record whatever is happening on the track channels they're looking at at that point in the FX chain. They're literally just plugins. What would a compressor compress if it was in the same place? That's what it will have available to record. Assuming you're using it as a track insert, it will record anything you can route to that track, which is just about anything. If you put in Take FX or Input FX, then you've deliberately limited your options and those limitations should be obvious.
