Default Prevent split in locked items
I know this is an old subject, but recently bothered me when editing some tracks, will this be fixed someday?

Check ReaPack for a script? I see a few that might be worth trying,..

Split selected non-locked items at edit cursor
Split all non-locked audio items at edit cursor
Split all non-locked MIDI items at edit cursor

This used to be a dealkiller for me but now Options/Locking/Locking Settings are available, but not on by default. Check all the boxes to enable.

Nice scripts but they don't prevent reaper to split locked items if you use ctrl+drag region for example :/
