Woo - congratulations on the birth of your epic labour of love!

This is not only a great looking theme, but also brilliantly compact (laptop users rejoice) with with some very nice WALTER. Stop looking at the screenshot and try it out...

I just loaded this up and - wow! I really love the look. I won't have time to play with it until later, but I'm anxious to see how this will fit my work flow. At first glance it looks like a winner.

Thanks Lampshade, great work !
Tried and adopted !
I love this yellow border around the selected track, and the choice of background colors for items makes this theme a paragon of clearness.

This is a GREAT way to start the New Year for sure! I re-intalled V4 just to try this out, and I have to say that it is more gorgeous in use than in the screen shot. Thank You!

I haven't tried it yet, but just from the look I think it should become the default theme....
why?
Cause it's ergonomic...
Ah wait...the track name and the background...not enough contrast!

Having fun.

Only negative I can see right now after a whole 30 minutes playing is that the track name slots are a bit small and having dark grey on light grey when the rest of the UI is so colourful is making it hard for my eye to just jump to a track name in a hurry.
Can the background easily be changed to a different colour?
Or the slot window made 2 rows deep?

hi rhythmtech,
thank you... uploaded again with the correct name.
something always goes wrong.
"midnight funk" was the name of the theme in the "work in progress" phase.

hi punkrock,
for me it works... right click on the pan-fader and choose a pan-mode.
the width knob is active when the little led is on (green)

hi jedstar2000,
yes, the screenshot seems to be not the best. will change it later.
i wanted to show as much as possible, different states and so on..
i think it`s better to have a bad screenshot but a working theme then vice versa. :-)

hi ivansc,
do you mean mcp or tcp... namebg on tcp is slightly darker then on the mcp.
you are right, I'm not really happy with it...the whole time I've been working on the theme, i've always told me "you must make the tcp namebg brighter" and then forget. i will look on it.

Checked that out and works fine. Though when I make changes to the with in TCP, nothing changes in mixer view, unless I choose a different pan mode. Checked it out with some other themes (rock solid, analog API) and it does work there. None the less: I love your theme! Apollo has been my default theme since V3.

Superb! We actually have a town called Ugley near here - those folks would fit right in!

Just hope you took the photo, rather than being IN it.

Re the contrast thang, for me it is ANYWHERE the actual name of a track (e.g. 'EmagicPiano' falls off the edge and looks like hell) appears.

I almost never have the slightest idea what number track I'm on, always look at the NAME label.

But bear in mind this is just a personal preference, nothing to start tearing the them apart over... Just wondered if it would be easy for me to change the BG and text colors myself.

sorry my english is not good but i will try to explain this behaviour.

when you right click on the pan knob in the tcp and change the pan mode it also change the pan mode on the mcp.(green led)

otherwise the width control has no function... even if you see it and the width value change... you can turn the width knob as much as you want, it does not change the width. (the indicator for an active width knob on the tcp in this theme is the width label that you will see when you have enough height... next to the pan label)

in other themes where the width control is allways visible, it is a little bit irritating because you see it, but it does nothing until you change the pan mode.
that`s why in the apollo theme you have the small little green led... i wanted to see the control knob but have a indicator that show me when it`s active. this way it is not irritating anymore.(at least for me)

it`s like a custom implemented feature through some walter code and images. :-) . you can do so much with walter and an intelligent image placement...

we are all standing at the beginning with this tool and it needs some experience from the themers ...you will see in the near future what is all possible what you can not even imagine now.

look at the default theme... you see there is no width control until you change the pan mode.

one thing i notice in other themes is the width control on the master channel... as far as i understand it... the master channel has not any width control... so you don`t need it there.

i hope you understand what i mean... my english is really bad.

bye

very nice.

one thing though.... to be consistent with the mute behavior, shouldn't the solo button behavior actually show green at the top of the solo-ed channel meter (in the db readout), and not green on all the non soloed channels? ideally, it would show green on the soloed channel and other all channels would show the orange mute color.

lampshade your English is fine, I understood every bit of that...

My problem with it is that it is just for V4.....V4 just does not like my system! I have had 5 crashes & "poof's" since yesterday using the newest V4, so back to V3.76 for me....

I really like this theme, but meters seem slightly out of place to me. They make it feel a little messy. Not the actual meters but the graphic behind the meters I guess.

Preface : I don't know how to design themes and I'll never ever be able to do that. After playing with Apollo v4 for a day, here are the things which came to my mind.

1) This one is really a cool theme.

2) If some other color than the default color is applied to items(say auto color is enabled) it is difficult to find out which item(s) is selected. Is it possible to make selected item(s) be displayed in a fixed single color?

3) The yellow shades used for some of the theme elements are not my favorite. For eg : I would like to change the mixer/master sends/hardware output from yellow to grey - let it be the same color of mute/solo buttons. Is there an easy way ?

Still a winner in version 4.0.

In fact it's so good that you should be able to get a date with just about anyone in that picture above. ^

Y not? But they are very minor tweaks. I mainly changed the color of arrange view area and time line loop points from the theme editor.

Actually, I was curious about how your workspace is arranged. How did you get the track view in the middle?

BTW, I'm using Apollo and really enjoying it.
