Maby this is updated?
https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Wayland_Showstoppers They seems to be on it though and I don't know all the techno yet about this, but we can't have security bugs on top of a Linux kernel, c'mon now.. Wayland! -- If it is not 100% Wayland and if you go XDG_SESSION_TYPE, then it might not say Wayland even if most of it is Wayland'ish..? I dunno (today) Better a Senior penguin sort this out.

Wayland is a no-go for me on Manjaro/KDE. So many things that aren't working correctly that there is no benefit whatsoever. There are a lot of things that need to be fixed/implemented before there is even a discussion on performance.

Jupp, and must admit I have not tried the Intel iGPU yet (hmm curious now..) and I think Fedora's GNOME should be Wayland, I think..
But I love KDE so.. and Manjaro is veeeery active up to date and rolling and even the testing branch works great so far.
