Default Can/does Reaper use the dsp of ProTools HD cards?

I have a late-model 2.5DP G5 with ProTools HD3 Accel inside...does Reaper strictly use the CPU or can it access the DSP of the digi TDM cards? is there a setting in Preferences I would need to change, or are they available pretty much immediately on launch?

Nope, and there's no way avid would let anyone do this anyway (even if it was practical, which it isn't)

HOWEVER.....

If you get a device like the Universal Audio Apollo as your sound interface...you CAN use their plugins, which utilize the onboard dsp hardware in the device. This will take the dsp load off of your cpu...and works much like the digidesign cards do.
