correct me if i'm wrong but aren't there other, better, ways to see transients? to me, the difference between reaper's representation of the spectrogram and that of rx7 or even audacity is kind of shocking and looks like somethinng that really needs to be addressed.

This may have already been stated but the bin size for the spectral draw has a huge impact on what details are seen most clearly. A low bin number gives the best timing resolution, so more transient information. A high bin size gives the best frequency resolution (so tonal information) at the expense of the transient information. This is just the nature of fourier math on which spectral editing is based.
I think some (maybe RX) use a custom/hybrid draw that offers some compromise to give decent performance for both.
For this reason I would like to see an easy, more dynamic way to adjust the bin size. It's pretty situational which you want while editing.

Probably, it's just personal preference for me. I learned on Reaper so it's just what I'm used to, and that makes RX7 look "weird" to me.

Or doing both, overlapping, getting both.

I miss options "lowest/highest freq. to show", like as in Audacity

Oldie but goodie , anyone ?
yes we have dynamic split but I would like to see a script that immediately splits at spectral colors, just for fun.
Thank you

Not a good place to ask for a script.

Hi! Is there a way to adjust the spread of the colour across the frequency spectrum? I know you can adjust the frequencies but it would be nice if there was no wrap around, so the very highest and very lowest can be completely different colours instead of nearly identical...
