Default Question about ReaPitch

Hey, ALL;

I am a singer and basically have karaoke music for my background music.
I am currently working on 'Tears From Heaven' by Eric Clapton and I am finding that I am having to adjust the pitch up by 5 semitones to be able to reach several of the lower notes comfortably.

I just finished watching a great video by Kenny Gioia on how to use ReaPitch.

My question is, his example was based on vocals and he pointed out the options for algorithm and parameter and I am wondering if in my situation if I would benefit from changing either of these options from their defaults to accommodate the fact that I'm using it for music ?

Also, a followup question.......

For this song I have each instrument separate and at the moment I have the all instruments routed to a folder and am adjusting the pitch to the folder.

However, for example, there are a few acoustic guitars and by putting the ReaPitch on the folder those guitars now sound weird.

I might be asking the obvious here, but, is ReaPitch meant to be put on individual instruments or folders ?

From this point now that the folder is adjusted so the whole song is up 5 semitones would the idea now be to put ReaPitch on any tracks that are off and adjust them that way, or, is there some other way to correct their sound?

Are you creating your karaoke background music using spleeter, free, if not secret tip for the new year for you. ReaPitch results do not sound that great, unfortunately. But better than nothing.

Is there a pitch shifter either free or paid that sounds better than ReaPitch to make things sound better?

I'll dig this one up because ReaPitch has been useful for me to get creative and come up with a new vibe, rather than just simply "playing lower/higher notes" like transposing MIDI notes (or better yet playing in a new key). Yeah it does alter the feel of stuff but it works great for me on the master most often, sometimes on 1 sound too. Messing with the formants can help it sound more natural, but it all comes down to experimentation and the audio situation. I have just dipped a toe in recently to the algorithms and parameters but finding the right one of these could truly make or break the pitch shift, or even take it to greater heights. If u have time and are just working on a new production or even a b-section, a ReaPitch on the master can be awesome. I'd too like to know of other programs that can do this (a nice, relatively pure pitch change), and so far only internal samplers have come close for me.

To pitch-shift a complete audio item, you don't need ReaPitch. Simply set the shift amount (in semitones) in the Item properties. Here you also can choose from multiple algorithms.

TimeStretch Audio Player is an excellent audio pitch changer that has a clean interface with a clear call to action buttons. The features of this tool include:

User-friendly interface
Just open track, set volume, play and make changes
Pitch, tune, and speed changer options
Easy to save the changed version with this pitch changer online.

Maybe this will help
