Haha, we've recorded so many guitar tracks - and we still do that, that
I don't really know what it was exactly anymore. I guess that was our
VOX VT40, because it can do everything.
Pedals are - almost always - compressor, some chorus, noise reduction,
gate. Which device is almost irrelevant, you always have to find the
right suitable setting. Our guitarist usually uses a combination of
pedals and the VOX internal effects.
And yet it is possible that the way of playing or the sound in the mix
no longer fits. That means: everything over again, readjusted, re-mike,
re-record, check and try out. It can happen that we don't see daylight
on such days.
