Default Failing to get EZ drummer 2 set up in Reaper . Where is the .dll ???

How do I get Reaper to see EZ drummer 2 ?
It can see Ez drummer 1 still but not Ez2 I just downloaded.

Toontrack FAQ ‘s /support arnt helping much .

I downloaded ( not custom install) and have the Toontrack folder with Ez2 in it. I’ve copy/pasted that toontrack folder into my reaper plugin folder ( the same place Ez1 .dll is located which reaper sees ok).
I cannot see an ezd2 .dll file anywhere.

How do I get reaper to see my new ezd2 plugin??

I’m using reaper 64bit and downloaded the ezd2 64bit .

Thanks

FWIW I have been beta testing tor Toontrack for years.

All you have to do is download Toontrack`s Project Manager application & run it.
It will show any TT products you own and have registered online on their site as being available & give you the option to download & install it and authorise it all automatically.

It has not been normal to try and hand- install their products in many years.

Now of course this does assume that you actually bought a legitimate version of EZ Drummer2. ( )

Maybe a Peferences, Options, VSTs clear and rescan will pick it up.

I bought EZD 2 about 2 yrs ago and would need to look where it installed, but I do recall I had to add a vst path in the options to get it going in Reaper.

I bought SD 2 32 bit version many years ago and left it unattended since 2009 then found my old login details and had a look to see if Toontrack remembered me. They did! I followed their instruction to download and install Product Manager and it only took a few minutes to update my product to the latest 64 bit version and install it on my Mac.

I hope you can do this for EZ.

Good luck

If that doesn't do it, do this ^^^^^^^^^^^ and put the DLL in one of the directories listed and repeat the step.

Toontrack's installer for ezdrummer 2 puts EZdrummer.dll in a Toontrack folder in Program Files\Common Files\VST2

Thanks for helping. Apologies for taking time to get back in here.

Yes its a legit copy !

I've got it working finally. The thing was that When I first bought EZ1 when it first came out I had install problems even then. What seems obvious to toontrack support and many who are computer and tech savy isn't always so easy or obvious to a beginner with all this. So at the time I read that I had to move the .dll file into a directory for reaper to pick it up. which it did. So when I got EZ2 recently I assumed I had to do the same thing. I think I was moving the wrong .dll however. So I decided to delete everything Toontrack from my laptop and start again. This still didn't work as I could not find the downloaded files from toontrack and the install process doesn't make it easily obvious where toontrack puts the download. Anyway, after a while I found it and pasted pathway into reaper and re started reaper and it worked.
