Default MIDI Editor Note Reorder - per file?

Hi,

Does anyone know how the MIDI Editor Note Reorder saves it's settings?
It seems to save them per project file - but I really need it to save them per "midinotename" file.

I'm using it for drum kits, and I can set one one up for a particular kit.
If I open another "note name" file, it keeps the same reordering - but this doesn't work for the new file. It needs to be reordered a little differently.

Is anyone using note re-ordering successfully?

I haven't found anything in the manual (although it's been in prerelease for a while, this is a new feature in 6.37) so, is this a "per project file" setting?

Also - is there a way to "clear" the note re-ordering? I couldn't find one, so I had to drag everything back to it's original numbering order...

Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks nofish - I'll try that.

In the meantime, it would be nice to understand what's going on.
So, these settings are per Reaper project file?
