Linux and Presonus Firepod

I'm trying to get my Presonus Firepod working on my Linux box. Here are the stats:

Dell Inspiron 660s
Intel Pentium G630 @2.70GHz
4GB RAM
Ubuntu Studio 18.10

I added a Vantec PCIe firewire card. Plugged in the Firepod and the blue light came on (only when using Port 2 on the Firepod).

I tried following these instructions:

I fired up Jack, and here are the errors I get:
