Default Melodyne with reaper5965+dev1231_x64

Has anyone else experienced a major slowdown in perfomance using Melodyne as a VST3 plugin on the above pre-release?

I love the functionality, but on a recent project I was waiting two or three seconds for the Melodyne interface to react after a mouse click. I.e., click on a blob, nothing happens, seconds later the blob turns red (selected). It got to the point that I went back to 5.965 and used Melodyne the old-fashioned way.

My project wasn't particularly large, and I only had two or three tracks working in Melodyne at one time.

A friend of mine uses this and found this (or a similar)issue. after adding some Gigs of RAM to his computer it worked nicely for him.

Thanks, Michael. Any suggestion is a good one.

However, I've got 32 GB of RAM at the moment. And I"m using a processor with 8 physical cores (i7 5960X) in an X99 MB. Plus the drives I use for music are all SSD's in a RAID 0 array. If I'm underpowered, a lot of people are going to have trouble.

Celemony have reported numerous times that they do not experience any of these issues in REAPER. I have reported these issues many times now. I'm also a beta tester for them.

I'm glad you've got a chance to give them your input. I love Melodyne, and I'm looking forward to better integration with Reaper. It worked great with SONAR, so I'm sure it can be done. As it is, I can barely use it except through the "load item in external editor" route.
