Hi all. If you feel like listening to a slightly silly love song, point your ears here:

I'd love to hear any comments or suggestions for improvement you might have.

Oz,

Nice little ballad.

You sound a bit nervous but you'll get over that.

Your voice reminds me a bit of the late Jim Croce --- I think with a few strengthening exercises for you vocal chords you've got something good.

I like the simplicity and gentle humour of the lyric --- the guitar is nicely recorded.

The double tracking on the voice is effective.

Not too bad Oz --- keep going mate.

Thanks for the input, guys. Agreed, Sambo Rouge, that my singing is the weakest link. I am working on it. And I'll take the Jim Croce comparison as a compliment and inspiration to keep after it.

Glad you all like the guitar sound too - my first time using mid-side. Seemed to work out OK.

klangmaler, I'll revisit the panning. I didn't want the harmony voice to interfere with the clarity of the lead, but maybe I overdid it. Thanks!

All of the above. A great little toe-tapper and clever lyrics. Great guitar sound. Run with the Croce thing!

I've quite literally got a grin running from ear to ear listening to this tune. Do I hear a bit of a Jack Johnson influence in there?

Your vocals are great by the way. Very relaxed and soothing. Love the lyrics.

Great job and thanks for sharing.

Funny you mention the Jack Johnson thing, kindafishy. As I was writing it I thought the chorus sounded like something he might sing. That wasn't the goal. It's just how it came out. But I guess if you're going to sound like someone else, it might as well be someone with some talent, right?
