Default Ivory VSTi crashes Reaper X64 version > 2.25

I have had to stay with the old v5.25 build of Reaper x64, any newer version crashes when loading Synthogy Ivory 1.64.

The plugin is 32-bit and so loads via the 32-64 bridge.

I would bet that upgrading the plugin could help, but that would be very expensive. Any ideas?

Any particular reason you arent choosing to run Win in 32bit mode rather than bridging?

Also, have you tried downloading and running the latest demo mode of Ivory?
Could be it is more of an Ivoy compatibility problem that a bridging issue..
Certainly worth trying rasther than spending asny more money.

I am running 64-bit to allow full use of my 32GB of RAM, which comes in handy for the orchestral and drum sample libraries I use.

I am sure that a purchase of the most recent version of Ivory would resolve the issue, but since Reaper had been compatible up until recently, I was hoping that perhaps there could be some way to keep using my old plugin while using more recent versions of Reaper. It seems that a regression was introduced after v5.25 which is where the incompatibility begins.

Have you spoken to the Ivory folks?

More to the point, I would suggest that you make it crash in Reaper and send a copy of the crashlog in to the devs, who will likely be able to figure out what is going wrong and maybe even do something about it for you.

There is a possibility that this was just a first launch edge-case! So far it seems to be stable. The first launch was a mess, though, forcing a reboot, but consequent launches have, so far, been trouble free.

Fingers crossed!
