What's an eight-note :-D
j/k, nice idea, but I'm personally not too hot for utilizing the standard imagery.
...and yes, inspired by White Tie's modern style - cheers!

wow, it's very catchy for my eyes, simple but great colours -
but the scythe reminds me hard to an "f"
the eight-note idea was im my mind too, i'd like to combine this with that somehow.
nice work again overall, .jon!

Magic! The handle disappeared! No more F-alikeness :-D
thanks beatbybit, good advice.
I don't associate REAPER with notation, but I get your drift. Maybe something waveformy or sequenterish... later. I think I'll start theming REAPER next.

Would you mind if I trash it up and make a custom version of it?

Again, very very nice.
Is it just me though, or is the composition slightly off?
Maybe the "Reaper" text should be placed a little higher?

thanks Cybolic :-)
go ahead, customize as you wish! what soft do you use, maybe I provide you native file or stems for better quality?
You're right about the alignment in the grey one, I tried adding bevels to the REAPER text and neglected to adjust the baseline - but as usual, I don't think I remembered to export that version to bmp, zip and upload it so what you get in the download is different :-D no bevels on text, correct baseline alignment!

Thanks, that I'll do
I use The Gimp exlusively (I have a thing for small, excellent programs ), but I can use photoshop, illustrator og svg files, whatever you use really.

Yeah, maybe some "stuff" in the left side of the dark area would help too? You know, some faded corn or similar.
...I'll probably play a little with it later today - you've been warned

OK White Tie, the first time I've felt compelled to change the default splash screen.
I'm now the proud owner of wankersplash.
Thanks for the clean design and the sense of humour.
Regards
Caleb

This is the best so far!!This is one is by far my prefered and the one done by White Tie. What is the easiest way to Replace the Splash without fukinc up the INI file? I think Justin should make a way that Reaper users shoudl be able to have a List of Splash files to choose from even if Reaper will have his Default that comes with the software just like the THEMES.. keep the fact that Users can Adjust their own things..

source for logos
are there good HQ sources for COCKOS logo?
i know the current reaper text is just courier new bold with adjusted kerning, so no worries there, but..
EPS/AI/SVG/PNG would be preferred.
i guess I could reproduce it from scratch but i'm sure JUstin has a copy laying around ?
