Default How can I remove empty parameter knobs in the mixer?

I want the faded knobs where there is no parameter set, to disappear from the extended mixer. how do I do that with WALTER? Or is there some other work-around? Please help, it looks so ugly with those extraneous half opacity knobs, sitting there doing nothing.

Hey! Perhaps you are using a theme where buttons are not really hidden when inactive, however you can:

1) collapse the parameter section,
- the lever can be tricky to grab as it's sticky, also you need to remember that it's still there:

2) completely hide the parms section,
- right-click on an empty space in the mixer area, then uncheck it:

You can also have it default to off with the 6.0 Theme Adjuster (if you're using the default theme).

I think you both misunderstand my intention. I do not want to hide or get rid of the parameter section. I am hoping to remove the faded image of the knob on unused parameters. I am trying to design my own theme, where moving the handles between sections is unnecessary. Having to do this manually for each track, kind of defeats the object. It is precisely because moving those handles is so tricky, that I want to design it this way.

If you are referring to the small dot from the knob when it's inactive, I think the only way to remove it is to go throught the knobstacks images and remove the one responsible for the minimal value.

Might be worth a try. Thank you for the suggestion, ArKaDaTa.

mcp_fxparm_off.png if your theme doesn't use a knobstack. But isn't it going to look uglier with a big empty space across your whole mixer?

It's mcp_fxparm_empty.png

No. It's for an FX rack style layout, so will look better without redundant knobs.

That causes any active knob to disappear if it is set to the lowest point.
