It's looking great!! Is this an app you are developing, or someone else's app you are testing?

Nice!

I tested it, it runs fine on my Ubuntu machine. I left some comments on your github repo - I don't want to use this Reaper forum for feedback...

You do some cool stuff!

Very nice! I'm looking forward to this one! One request, please.... If you haven't already, please consider supporting HiDPI. I use a 4k monitor scaled up. :-)

new version..

SA_BOTAGE v0.0.9 (alpha?)

not much documentation or info yet, as there are still new features coming, and changes to be made.. but this youtube video might give you a little hint of what's going on:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAoveJosQl4

it would be great to hear if it works on other systems than mine :-)

download from here:

yes.. but it's not the highest priority.. need to find some time (and motivation) to get a functional cross-compilation setup going first.. then i need to bring back the windows stuff from earlier versions of the framework.. mainly the low-level gui things..

unfortunately, that is very unlikely..

i don't have a mac and doesn't plan to get one, so i would need to find a way to cross-compile mac binaries from linux.. and i don't think that is possible/legal?

but, who knows.. never say never.. :-)

Version 0.0.9 works great on my machine.

Full disclosure: I did have 1 crash - but I don't think that had anything to do with your plugin. I had a crash earlier rendering an mp3, and I didn't log out or restart my computer. It crashed again using sa_botage, but after I logged out and back in, it's been stable.

The only thing I would say about the GUI is bold text for the section *names* like Size, Speed, Offset, etc.

I've been tinkering with your earlier versions and I still haven't wrapped my head around it, but man, that thing does some wild stuff to incoming audio!

Good work!

ohh.. let's hope it's not the plugin.. let me know if it happens again!

the gui is very much a "work in progress".. i change things frequently during development, move things around, try different widget types, etc.. as soon as the plugin is more "official", the gui will receive a lot more attention..

yeah, i know it's a bit confusing.. i'm sketching up some preliminary documentation on my website, as we speak.. hopefully that will make it easier to understand.. i'll post a link as soon as i have something up there..

very rough, preliminary info/documantation:

https://torhelgeskei.com/plugins/sa_botage/

this needs to be massively improved, of course, but it will have to do for now, until the plugin is closer to 'final'..

SA_BOTAGE v0.0.10 works fine on my Ubuntu 20.04 machine, and the docs on your web site helped me to understand what the controls do. Good stuff!
