Default Simple stems do not null with original

Hello!
This is a concern that I have had in the past but never could point out what was going on.
Now that I'm working with exporting stems I saw it happening again.

In this case I was trying to export stems for a very basic 10 track project, and when I imported the exported stems back into the original project to try to null them they wouldn't null completely, in fact far from it.

Stems were expoted in the same sample rate and 32bit (also tried at 24bit, and both online and offline renders, to the same result. In fact, I also tried consolidating the tracks, and exactly the same happened).

The project has no active FX on any track, nor fader moves, pans, gain changes, nothing, just plain wav files.

While investigating, strangelly, if I copy the tracks to a new project and do the same procedure, exported stems do null.
Both projects have the same Project and render settings (including the render media format settings)

Here is a caption illustrating the issue:

Does anybody has any idea of what might be happening?
Thanks!

Are those inside of a folder track? It's hard to tell with your theme.

No, they are just normal audio tracks.
It is very strange, but this is not the first time that something like this happens when rendering stems.

I cannot find what might be causing it.
Any clues or similar experiences are appreciated.

Assuming the original file was 24 bit - I wonder if its because its rendering to 32 bit?

I think he said he tried 24-bit also with no null.

I'm very curious as to the reason for this as well.

just a bump so that it doesn’t get lost and hopefully somebody can point out what might be happening.

What audio do you actually get in the sum?

I bet it’s a pan/balance issue...

Hi, thanks for replying.

The resulting audio from the sum is mostly high frequency content, there is cancellation in the lows.
This implies that both signals are not exactly the same in the original and the stem.

It is strange, given that there are no fx, no volumes or pans in the session, and it doesn’t happen in a blank session with the same audio file.
