Hey schwa, I'm not sure where else to post this but I'm kinda getting desperate to resolve this bug, which is still a regular problem for me. Can you please look into this again?
The problem as demonstrated in the sample project in post #34 above has been resolved as far as I know. If you have a related issue, is it possible for you to post a minimal project that demonstrates the issue?
As a workaround for now, open the render dialog (file > render), and at the bottom, disable the option "do not render files that are likely silent". Then the freeze should work as expected.
