Default Your favourite theme? (UPDATED to the last reaper graphics changes)

I'm curious to know your choice regard reaper UPDATED themes.
Personally I love LimeFlavour and White Tie ones but I don't know if I can use them in the last version of reaper(3.6)...any idea?
Thank you for any suggestion!!
;-)

top 5:

#1 RADO
#2 Butkus
#3 Origin
#4 Cyb Zinc
#5 Unempty Minima 80

honorable mention: Daily Duty
(would be in the top 3 if theming supported what it wanted to do better).

Well, I've gone really theme-crazy in the past.
Nowadays it's more like a nice vacation using a different than default, same with v2, not as much with v1 - v1 was harder for me to settle on the default...

I guess it also comes down to what the OP stresses: if the theme is updated - it's a little annoying working and suddenly something seems out of place, or similar... That could be a reason for choosing default, sort of a safety zone

but, hey, everyone knows that you don't HAVE to update Reaper every other day. It will be as good as it is right now for months and years, you know? You use it right now, right?

I use the default theme, partly because I am used to it... and also for the following reasons

a) cockos randomly update the interface and add/change UI elements that the custom theme may or may not support

b) no version control, no check for updates

c) some themes require specific UI settings outside of the theme settings, so I have to fiddle with the other preferences (like item labels in or on top of the items and all that stuff)

So I feel safer with the default theme, even though it's not the most visually appealing to me.

EDIT: Just made a tracker entry to take care of (c)

RADO, for sure.
Though I tweaked the Media Items to look a bit more flat and not that haptic (or rounded). But def. love that theme.

I absolutely love Armour 02A, especially after I stole the TCP and MCP sections and Ivory keys(MIDI Editor) from LED Fest. Hybrid Armour!

Here's mine. It's the default. Resprayed by DarkStar with some vu meter changes made by EvilDragon. https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/364/Resprayed_DS.zip
Also I'm using Adam's setting mentioned in this thread along with the sws file here.

Thanks to, DS,ED, and Adam for sharing this.

Wyatt

Another RADO fan here! One thing though I absolutely needed to tweak* was the "rec enabled" button, because I'm severely colourblind.
So, maybe: theme developers, remember that there's some poor guys around (only 0.2% of the girls) that cannot distinguish "bright red" from "not sooo bright red". I'm really serious. If you could see "red" and "green" the way I do, you'd be,well, surprised

*but that's so great about Reaper: you just change what you don't like

I have not planned to update the Origin theme's for Reaper3, mostly because I can't find the time at the moment. They might get a re-design for Reaper4 whenever that will happen.

I'm in that 0.2 percent of girls who see 'bright red and not so bright red'!!
That's one good reason you'll never see red / green buttons in my themes
One thing that really drives me nuts is red/green dual colour LED's on equipment! Whenever I encounter that, I use red colour gel on the indicator so I can tell when it is red.

dbl shameless plug for REANDO... see my signature for links

personally, I see many excellent themes done but I'm bored with all the gray and browness... I LIKE color and I like seeing stuff 'animate' in the GUI... but I know I'm a strange duck.. so?
