Default Can you monitor meters on a remote device

Hello All,
I apologize if this has been brought up before but, I can not seem to find anything regarding metering on remote devices. Ideally I would love to be able to see my meters on the web browser interface as I do Voice over work and am usually in a booth and not in front of my computer. I know I could always sidecar an iPad but, I do not have an iPad . Is there a way to se Real Time metering (Well, as close to RT as possible) on the web browser or any other App/resource?
Thanks in advance,
RR

Check out this link where Flavio has created a web remote with meters and other toys.

Works great and appears as he may consider modifying for user needs.

Flavio's GUI is fantastic and useful, but it will not give you actual real-time monitoring. It shows the peak levels (which are accurate) but the update rate on the meter itself is not fast, and is more useful just to get a rough idea.

I'm not aware of a real-time solution -- not sure if a clever scripter could come up with something or if the reaper APIs aren't granular enough for that?

Or perhaps a remote desktop solution could be tweaked with a high enough fps to do the job.

If you have a tablet you could use the free avid control app for metering among other things.

If you set up the OSC controller in Reaper, it outputs track meters which will allow you to use Touch OSC or Lemur to create a remote Meter View.

Oh yeah, OSC! I always forget about that. OP -- you didn't want an iPad, but TouchOSC and Lemur both run on smartphones as well, if that's interesting to you. AFAIK TouchOSC is US$5 and Lemur is US$25?

Has anyone built a free reaper controller in either of those? Ah, I find:

Thanks a ton man ! It does show meters indeed, even if it's a bit slow to respond as others pointed, but still better than nothing to do a basic linecheck onstage for a multitrack recording in Reaper.

I will also look into the OSC stuff people have suggested later in the thread.

Has anyone tried that from an android phone ?

EDIT : it was a pain in the ass to set up since i wasn't familiar with EuCon and such, but i made it work and it was worth it, see my post here :
