Default How to add FX to only a part of a MIDI bus?

Hi, please see picture (https://imgur.com/a/aJ7BGUt)
I am trying to add a flanger effect on my drums during section 9 of my song. This is a bus track where my individual drum tracks are being routed into. If I try hitting Shift + E only for that section the effect doesn't work... what am i doing wrong?

Thanks a lot!

Since flanger is an audio effect you need to add the effect to the track(s) the audio is coming out of. Then automate the dry/wet.

Yea easiest way I can think:

I see audio on that drum track so just add the flanger you want to the track
1. Click the envelopes button on the track (yours might look different) and set the bypass of the flanger effect to visible.
2. Double click between markers 9 & 10 to set the time selection.
3. Make sure the effect is disabled and then drag the envelope inside the time selection to the level you want.
