Being a fan of QSC Touchmix devices, I thought that it would be interesting to mix in this manner with Reaper.
Seeing that the subject of touchscreen controls has been popping up on the forum for years, I thought it was a safe bet and relatively stable.
But am I missing an option or setting somewhere? I can’t even select a fader with my touchscreen.
I touch the fader button, the area shows a translucent rectangle as if to acknowledge engagement, but I can’t move it.
In fact it just opens the routing options when I touch a fader.. What’s the deal with touchscreen for simple things like moving faders?
FWIW, I use an Acer 23" touch screen monitor and it works as it should. Faders, menus, scrolling, etc.
It's not quite as accurate as a mouse, especially when trying to select tiny objects, like the windows Minimize, Maximize and Close buttons, but a touch screen pen is useful for those things.

After messing around with it quite a bit, I realized that it does work. It’s just that you have to move the fader immediately once touching it. Any hesitation and it registers as a multitouch and opens the routing window. Any ideas in how to mitigate this?
Update: had to go into an oddly hidden dialog in Win 10 (unreachable through normal settings, had to call up the shell ID, wth?!) and change the delay for a press and hold to register as a right-click.
