Vst MIDI in multiple channels
Hey!
Is it possible to use a vst like JS humanizer in a track and use that track as a send to control multiple midi tracks at once ?

Hello clapz and welcome to these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information.
It depends - if all the MIDI is going to a single instance of a VSTi, then yes, put the Humanizer just in front of the VSTi. All the received MIDI will be affected.
If the MIDI is going to different VSTis (or you want to apply different degrees of humanizing) to the MIDI you'll need to insert the Humanizer on each track.
Can you describe the tracks and FX you have and how you have routed them?

Thank you very much.
Yes what I would like to do is put JS velocitycontrol,PIZ midi swing,JS humanizer on a track and send it to a couple of tracks (could be 4 to 8 tracks) that contain POISE drumsampler and affect these with the send track.
So I don't have to copy for example the piz midi swing to each track if I would them all to swing the same way.
But that is not possible if i understand you correct?

If I understand correctly, it would not work.
It depends where your MIDI clips are. - If they are on the 4-8 Poise tracks then they will not be affected by the humanizer, midi swing etc on the other track. You would need to add those FX to each Poise track.
- If the MIDI clips are on the humanizer etc track, then they will be affected but the same MIDI could be sent to all the Poise tracks.

Perhaps you could compress a simple problem project file (no audio samples needed) into a ZIP file and post it here as an attachment so we can have a look at it and see what's (not) happening?
- In XP, right-click the project file, select Send To ... compressed (Zipped) folder),
- drag your reaper.ini file into the ZIP file (You should be able to get to the folder containing the file from [Options] > select "Show Reaper resource path in Explorer/Finder")
- drag any other required media files into the ZIP file,
- when you reply, scroll down a bit, open the "Additional Options" section if needed by clicking the double downwards arrows,

- click on [Manage Attachments], browse to your ZIP file, select and Upload it.
You will also find it helpful, in "Folder Options" (on a Windows PC):
-- to Show Hidden Folders and Files
-- to Show File extensions (or you are vulnerable even to the most simple double-extension trick to disguise malicious files)

'Fraid not, the MIDI on the poise tracks goes to Poise, the audio is produced on all 3 tracks and sent to the folder track - the humanizer is a MIDI VST and cannot affect the audio.
But you could make the humanizer track an ordinary track (not a folder), delete the 3 Poise VSTis and put the Poise VSTi on the Humanizer track. Then the MIDI from the 3 tracks will go to the humazier/Poise track, be humanised then passed to Poise for output of the audio.
Any use?

That is exactly how I do it now from time to time.
It is not a problem when working with drums, its only a minor workflow delay when wanting the same humanize/swing midi effect on all midi channels (poise+ shortcircuit+ synth ).
Well I keep doing it like I used to: copy/paste, copy/paste.
It's a disappointment , but not a suprise.
Darkstar, thank you very much for your time, I appreciate it.

You're welcome.
If it's a fixed FX Chain then you can save them all as an "FXChain" and reload that on each track
Or, set up your track with all the FX on it and save it as a Track Template.
