Default effects shown in mixer window

In some screenshots in the Reaper manual and/or wiki I see GUI representations of effects attached to the individual tracks on the mixer. Is this a feature that comes with some plugins? What effects have this and/or how do I make them appear in my window?

First you have to stretch the mixer strips so they are tall enough to see the inserts. Just above the Mute/Solo buttons your cursor will turn into an up/down arrow and you can re-size. (Press control to re-size all). Then right click on button just to the left of the name "Master" on you master track and make sure that the "Show FX inserts when size permits" and you are all set. (You can do the same for sends and FX parameters). In addition to seeing which FX you have you can drag FX and sends into other tracks. Very cool!
