Default string length limitation

Hi Guys,

Way over my head here because if it doesn’t have a 1/4 inch jack on it, I can’t understand it.

Was playing with HQ9000’s critical hardware control plugin. The JS limit of string length truncates even the ability to get a GM bank properly described. Add a couple more characters than what HQ has already written and the plugin is over the limit, taking out the patch selection.

This obviously stands in the way of more complex banks. My yard sale Casio WK-3200 has several hundred sounds. There are texts that could be pasted into the JS plugin, but I’d probably crash it after the first 70 or so.

Is there anyway to work around the string length limit, or can we get the developers to expand the workable space between the parenthesis.
