Early Spring - Pop
This time it's a quiet pop song, far away from metal
Any comments are appreciated.

yes, i would say you're back in your "comfort-zone"!
as always - really beautiful guitar tones.
i REALLY liked what you did with the vocals, both lead and backgrounds. Esp around 2:15! it sounds like you're occasionally adding a falsetto which works really well!
my only comment on the mix is you could bring up the kit/bass a few db. imo.
great job!

I liked this chill style, particularly the way you sang it. I thought you had a female vocalist when I heard the first sang note, but then realized it was you. Rather soulful.

Thanks Sammy & Mark!
The harmonies part was intended to be just one voice, which I sang as high I'll get.
It turned out too thin.
But then I tested to pitch them (+5 and -3) and it really worked well.
For those new to the pitching, try out the different pitch modes.
You really get different result.
The song was intended to be synth based, but then I did the guitar rythm (one humbucker/one strat) and it totally changed the whole sound of the song.

Not yet, but soon enough I'll be comfortable in the metal zone

Fine song. I understand you conceive your song as an aerial thing, but I think it would be terrific if you play it faster. Maybe 30% to 50% faster.

Thanks for listening.
I did a quick test playing it 30% faster.
The bass lick is rather cool at that speed, but I think it's another kind of song.
My mindset is stuck on the original speed though

A bit of a departure from the norm there Mikki. Hypnotic and ethereal, I do believe you're turning into a hippie! Cool.

Thanks Barry.
Well, I have done some pop before, so no, no hippie for me

I thought the song wouldn't give you the same feelings with such a change.
I completely understand you stay with your first idea. I think I'm the same state of mind as you.
Thank you for trying anyway.
