He's clouding this great thread.

This is a thread about Dragonfly Reverb. It is not a pissing contest. If you would like to troll people about your knowledge of reverb and talk about the amazing work you do, there are certainly places for that. Hell, start your own thread. Your nonsense was tolerated and dealt with as nicely as the people here can muster. Now it's crossing the line.
I don't intend to block huberkinky. He's bringing the corksniffing sensibility of Gear Slutz and The Gear Page into this very pragmatic and practical forum. Michael is doing an amazing job turning esoteric mathematical reverb algorithms into usable and practical plugins. This has been done before, but Michael is taking it beyond such things as Freeverb II and so forth, making it beautiful. I disagree with huberkinky, but he is entitled to his opinion. C'est la vie.

Bricasti it's a hardware reverb, . It was 5k before. Prices are changing sometimes, OK?

Seventh Heaven it's VST reverb convolution reverb based on samples from Bricasti. Sounds good, tail the same but because of sampling it's not the same like Bricasti.

Bricasti is smoother. How much smoother? Buy and learn something once in your life!

Read something... those guys know something, OK?

https://blog.landr.com/best-reverb-plugins/

Michael.. don't listen to that guy. As you see he knows nothing. With reverbs it's like with composing music. Never ask audience about opinion. You're selling your taste and your talent. If you're working with group of talented musicians, you may get somewhere and you will be not fighting with them.

Evidently the same case it's with reverbs. Learn more, check everything, don't forget, it's the hard market and... never listen to those, who have no ideas.

You're guy who works hard. Critics never working hard and scoffing everyone. Don't listen, especially those, who are misleading you by liking you... ;-)

As I have said, don't listen, grab a demo one of reverbs I have mentioned and heard and listen to them vary carefully. Listen carefully and try to figure out, how is working a tail of good reverb in relation with vocal. Compare with yours. That, if you will figure out, how that sounds and working, try to copy that tail in your reverb.

As I have said before, it's not easy at all! But you have a passion and you're working hard. Such people almost always are winners. It take time and a lot of hard work and heaps of thinking.

Kind regards...
Just FYI, generally this level of stupid is not accepted on the Reaper forum. But please do come back when you are smarter. I know it's not easy at all but I'm sure you will figure it out! It just takes a lot of hard work and heaps of thinking!

Well said.

I have a choral recording tomorrow afternoon that I will be sticking Dragonfly Hall on. Barring an on-location catastrophe, the music will end up on the Hal Leonard site as MP3 previews of various choral scores. I'm assuming not a first for Dragonfly at this point but just in case anyone is wondering whether it is up to the task for classical, the answer is a resounding "yes"!

Yes, well said Klangfarben. And also: this patronizing tone doesn’t help the cause at all.
Thank you Michael for your hard work.

Just to be clear, I wasn't making a mockery of Hal Leonard. I am genuinely astonished that these plugins are being used in demoes for a major sheet music publisher.

Are we looking at an official V3 release soon?

Hopefully. The official release will be almost identical to 3.0.0-RC2, except the version number will drop the "-RC2". I'm just working on updating the site at https://michaelwillis.github.io/dragonfly-reverb before calling it official.

Don't be astonished...your work is of professional quality! I completed my recording without a hitch yesterday (well, the air conditioning was horrendous) and despite a few other technological challenges today setting up the project (when it rains, it pours), I can already tell that Dragonfly Hall will work really well...It's nice enough that I often find myself pushing the wet/dry mix far too high

I've not even started editing yet but once the final audio is up, I'll try to remember to post a link. Equipment used was nothing particularly fancy: a single pair of AT4021s in ORTF into a MixPre-6 II (using the 32-bit float mode which turns out I needn't need given I only peaked around -10 dB with a very quick turn of the dial during the warm-up).

Default Dragonfly Reverb doesn't stay loaded in Reaper 6

Hi, I have the latest version of Dragonfly Reverb on a Windows computer and Reaper 6. I can get the plug-in to load, but once I finish a session and turn Reaper off (or turn the computer off) and restart Reaper, I have to reload the plug-in. Any thoughts on this?

Are you saying that when you save a project or template with dragonfly in, it is no longer there when you reload it?
Does this happen with other plugins?

More to the point, are you actually saving the project before quitting reaper every time? I know there is usually a nag screen reminding you to do so, but I occasionally ignore it when I dont think I have made any changes I want to keep.

Version 3.0.0 has been officially released!

After several people encouraged me, the website now includes links for donations... and swag!

Yes. I have to reload the plug-in every time.
No. Doesn't happen with anything else.

very strange, especially as no-one else seems to be experiencing this behaviour - what versions are you using etc?
