macOs "Open With... Reaper"
Maybe there is a technical reason why this is not an available option. But if VLC can do it then Reaper should be able to do it too.
So,
in macOs Finder, for media files, Open With... does not have Reaper listed in the app list (request: it should)
and
selecting "Open With.. other" does not show Reaper in the "Recommended Applications" list when navigating to the Apps folder (request: it should), as a result Reaper is greyed out (until additional user actions are performed)
Therefore,
to open an arbitrary media file with Reaper takes many more user interactions than it should.
