Default Doubled buttons / menu missing

Hi,

When changing the themes, I had some trouble with Reaper, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. But the problem I have is that the buttons are doubled and the Options/Customise menus/toolbars option is missing.
Here's what it looks like: https://ibb.co/CWS6dkb
The File/Render is also missing now.
Could you please help?

Thanks,
Marci

It seems your menu configuration is not the default. Did you import some configuration files along with the theme, or have you customized your menus/toolbars yourself?

Easiest way to fix this would be to wipe clean the whole Reaper install and make a new clean install. You would lose all your own customizations and settings, so hopefully you saved your own configurations before trying the ones made by other users, if that's the case here. If you have not really made much of your own customizations yet, there would not be much to lose starting all over again.

Other option is to rebuilt everything manually wherever things are wrong for you.

Thanks! The problem is that whenever I uninstall and install Reaper again, nothing changes. Do I miss a step?

The Toolbar is now just fine. How can I have the menu back?
For example "Insert" is missing and if I open file, there are a lot of options missing (Render for example).

I have imported a config file as I can remember. How can I redo it?

There's a [RESET] button available at the bottom of the Options > Customize menus/toolbars window. More info here:

Solger had already good links to menu and toolbar editing above. I'll just add that if you have Windows OS and need to make a full reset some day, Start menu has also Reset configuration to factory defaults option.

Exporting your own configurations (Options/Preferences/General) is also a good idea, especially if you have made lots of your own customization. That way you have a backup you can always import back, if things go sideways at some point.
