Man, enabling input monitoring by default will cut the amount of newb questions over the internet at least in half.

Thanks for the Update guide, nicholas!
I also have some of your books ReaMix and there are so many intricate procedures, it is insanely good. Especially the multi-channel tricks for FX... I still do not know how this is possible.

I'm reading through it now, and this is very helpful.
Thank you, Nicholas (and developers that made these changes)

True, although we who like to monitor through a console would like a setting in Preferences to turn monitoring back off, hint, hint...

I got a YouTube subtitle the other day that attempted to Korean-ize it into "Ken E Choi"...it never ends.

Maybe it was just a bug in my particular v5 setup, but with v6 I noticed some touch enhancements right away, multizoom is more responsive, and ctr-click selecting tracks works as expected now.
I don't think anyone would practically benefit much from touching multiple screen faders simultaneously, if that's what you're after. Sounds amazing, feels ambiguous (having said that, prove me wrong Justin

That's funny. Choi pronounced "choy" is like Cantonese. In Korean, it sounds much more like "chway".
Ken E Choy-a, it is!

I just downloaded 6.0 and paid for the new license. Hey, it's worth it right? For one thing the layout is HUGE! Maybe I'll have to change my display settings. I'm hopeful that my remaining Windows 10 issues will be fixed. So far no crashes. So far so good.

How to set monitoring to off for new tracks by default:
In the main menu, go to: Options->Preferences->Project->Track/Send defaults
Under the "Tracks" section, click in the box to the right of "Record config:" and uncheck all three "Monitor Input" options, then click OK.

Thanks!
Much better than going though the change logs and stumbling though to figure them out myself.
Really Appreciate and keep up the great work on the manual. Still by far the best DAW manual out there IMHO.

Thanks! I will look forward to exploring the new stuff, and learning more of the old stuff I never have time for. I find myself in Reaper much more than Cubase these days, and I am more up to date here than with Steinberg. (8.5)
And mustn't forget a nod to Kenny, he's made some things much more clear to me.
It just gets better and better. Cheers.

Thanks for posting.
I've checked, and this seems to be an issue with Adobe Acrobat ... it's fine in Foxit and in the web browsers that I've tested.
I'll try recreating the image and see if that helps. Meanwhile, perhaps you could view that page in a different browser.
Thanks.

in Microsfot Edge: blank image
in STDU viewer: distorted/pixelated greyscale image
in ABBYY fine reader v14: distorted/pixelated greyscale image
in Vivaldi: image is somewhat "readable", though appears like a screenshot off of an old CRT crayscale/monochrome monitor
I do not have any other pdf viewers (Foxit, Sumatra, etc.)

OK, thanks again for bringing this to my attention.
It appears that Adobe and some other browsers didn't like the options selected when I made the .JPG file. I've recreated that image as a .PNG, updated the .PDf file and it looks OK now, in Adobe at least (I don't have X-Change).
Because 6.02 can't be more than a few days away, and I'm working on the updated PDF, can you guys live with this until then?
The correct image is here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gfB...ew?usp=sharing
Thanks.

Btw: When I open the Guide, Manual or this page, PDF XChange always gives me a warning that:

Oh, it's nothing.
I noticed (on the new image) slight blurred rectangle (or border of a cropped window Title panel) between Track and Actions menu buttons. Is that intentional?
