Default I just found the v4 theme is the best.

I downloaded the v4 theme and applied it. It looks much easier to navigate at a glance. The only downside is that the individual track meter doesn't have the numbers and the divisions in the mixer panel.

Whatever works for your screen, your eyes, your room lighting, your screen calibration, and your taste. I suggest trying the Commala themes too.

For me I found Reaper 6 theme best, with everything set to 150% size.

I've been on theme 4 "minor modified" for many years. I've only tested a couple other themes but I really like liked the theme 4 and then a tweak that give me a Vu meter horizontally across the entire track in the tcpview that I keep on monitor pre fader only. That's really all I need but now I'm looking at forcing myself to work in theme 6 so I can at least get the colors to behave.

Sold !! Have several LCS latest, but not sure how to load this exact Reaper 6 !!

OK _ Gonna go with 'Default' on Theme Menu vs Default_4.0 or Default_5.0. Hope that's correct cuz your recommendation is persuasive ! "D

Oh yes, the elusive Reaper 6 theme!

1.0 is an instrument of torture. Many a burned out retina!
Seriously though if 1.0 works for you then that's what you should use. Perhaps you work in a very brightly lit room?

When I first saw 1.0 theme I thought it was faulty, it was so incredibly bright as to cause discomfort (on a recently calibrated panel). I really don't understand how anyone worked with that. I'm glad I hadn't tried Reaper back then, I wouldn't be using it now.

Minor personal preference in the settings aside..
I will try the LCS themes too. Haven't even looked at the themes in a while, been happy enough with 150% theme elements.
If more of the other themes had worked at 150% I would have tried more. 200% is no good to me as I don't have a 4k panel.

Reaper 6 theme is really good. The reason why I switched the theme is the color tint of the mixer panel. The middle part of the mixer panel is all black and it makes me spend more time navigating. Unlike the Reaper 4 theme, it doesn't provide to change the color option in the preference. It's greyed out and you can't control it. This is the opposite concept of Reaper. "Customize whatever you want" but some of them, you can't. It's a funny part. If the devs allow us to change it in the next update, I'll definitely go back to Reaper 6 theme.

Unfortunately, the LCS themes are only available in 100% size.
If the 100% size is OK for you, then please try them.

I have no way at the moment check the work in the higher resolutions, so those sizes have been removed from the themes.

The Mixer Pan section and Track ID both take custom colors and are very noticeable to me.
In addition, you can use the border function in the Theme Adjuster to create noticeable borders around a collection of tracks.
These borders will also have the custom color.
You can do this without folders being used or set it up to automatically put the borders around the Start and End folders.
Have you tried this?

technically, you can change it.
You have to mod the theme to do this.

Thanks for that reply.

I will have a look anyway but it probably won't take over from the 6 theme at this time.

Mainly I like the 150% size because I use the smaller of two panels dedicated to the mixer, and it sits further away. 100% elements are always perfectly readable, just that 150% elements are more comfortable in this current setup. That said I use 150% elements on both panels, but with some themes I might be fine with 100% size on the main screen.

Actually, its more customizable on modern themes, its just that its image based, so you can just copy a style you like from one theme to another, its actually predictable and it allows selective colouring.

A selection of other tint strengths for the V6 are here.

More on v5 vs. legacy colouring methods here.

I appreciate it. You are so talented! What I want to do is setting the color for each track in the mixer panel. I attach the screenshot for reference what I mean.
