"+ Media item lanes: when moving media items from multiple lanes to a new track, set new track to fixed or free lane mode depending on source track"

Thx you for this!

But there is an issue. Tracks only overflowed by items should not be impacted.

Hi,
Unless I am missing something, the ReaVerb is still the only one of the series to store the plugin's channel number in the Presets.
Could it be applied also to ReaEQ, ReaFIR and ReaLimit ?
Thanks...

But there is an issue. Tracks only overflowed by items should not be impacted.
1. What also happens is that if multiple items are dragged from a free-item track across a fixed-lane track, to a 'neither-mode' track they transfer that fixed-lane mode to the target track, and not the source track's free mode. Perhaps the source track mode could be assigned to the target track only on mouse release?

2. Less of a problem: If the source track is fixed-lane, and the target track is free-mode, it stays free-mode when multiple items are dragged to it. Switching only works if the target track is in neither mode. (I have free-mode as default for new tracks).

That's intentional -- the items will still retain their vertical relationships within the track.

Thanks for the Reaverb love devs, especially the drag+drop.

While you're looking at Reaverb, would it be possible to have volume envelope controls for the IR file? Even just an attack control added to the trim/stretch function would be incredible. Thank you.

THANKS!!!!

I hate to be a bother, but "half" or "1/2" would be very, very useful too.

AFAIU, it should be possible to use Reaper as an Audio Editor for an IR (WAV) file to apply a volume envelope on it, save it and use the new file in ReaVerb.

Would absolutely love and use all the time if it had a volume, hi pass and low pass envelope it would apply to the impulse audio sample before convolving

There's a lot of conventional reverb that allow this and makes such a difference to the shaping of the reverb initial attack and tail. Makes all the difference

That would be useful yes.

Also.. I'm still hoping for more sample slots so I can set it up for counting backwards, each beat in the bar for making awkward time sigs easier to play along to when they change a lot but not expecting that anytime soon but.. Just saying

So much faster if done in real time though

But you gave me the idea of trying a subproject audio file as a convolution as then you can near enough edit fast and add all kinds of effects to it.

justin/schwa, does it support subprojects and would it update when the subproject does?

Hmm better to use chains for this purpose? having the channel count reset when loading various stock presets is pretty annoying…

I’m excited to see these developments in ReaVerb! But...I'm having some trouble wrapping my head around the various Channel Tool options/actions. Can someone help me understand how the Channel Tool is intended to work?

As an experiment, I’d like to use a 4 channel ambisonic B-format WAV as my IR, with the goal of having 4 discreet channels of convolution in/out for 3D reverb. I've been futzing with it but haven’t yet found the right combination of File/Channel Tool or I/O mapping... I’m also hoping to be able to use ReaVerb to use multichannel IRs generated from the AALTO/Sparta HO-SIRR application, which converts ambisonic B-format IRs into multichannel IRs for arbitrary surround speaker arrangements.

It’d also be great if the various ReaVerb Processes (File, Channel Tool, Filter etc.) could be cut/copy/dragged when making complex processing chains, similar to FX chains.

I think you're ahead of me, but the way I would implement it is by adding extra stereo inputs to Reaverb, and adjusting the pan of whichever track I sent to Reaverb respectively by stereo send; eg 1/2 pan 50% right, 3/4 pan 75% left, etc. I don't know if this is the intention, but it's how I would use it. I don't think it's as complicated as it appears. I could be wrong.

+ Media explorer: display .rpp metadata

Is it possible to define the "Author" as a user column?

Or even data from the "Arc_Counter_Timer".
Thanks

.RPP author should already appear in the Media Explorer in the "artist" column. You may have to right-click the .RPP and choose "re-read metadata from media" to see it.

One last question.
Is it possible to create your own User Metadata Column for * .rpp files?
For example time signature.
Thanks
