A ton of my plugins aren't showing up in the Plugin Browser.
I noticed that in the "%APPDATA%\REAPER\reaper-vstplugins64.ini" File, a similarity among all the plugins which aren't showing up, look like this
Code:
Permut8.dll=00D19947791BD001
LFOTool.dll=00657A7A0F27D201
ValhallaRoom64.dll=008C404DADC3D201
...etc....
They only have the plugin "Hash?"
Whereas plugins that are showing up correctly, have additional information besides the "Hash", like this :
Code:
PSP_MixSaturator2.dll=00DEF89DC546D201,1347439955,PSP MixSaturator2 (PSPaudioware.com)
RC_48.dll=00F8712868E6D101,1315513407,RC 48 (Native Instruments GmbH)
If I modify the ini file, and give it the extra parameters, like
Code:
ValhallaRoom64.dll=008C404DADC3D201,123,Valhalla Room
Then I am able to see the plugin in the Plugin Browser window again.
Technically, if I check the option "Do not scan VST Names/Types (Deprecated)" -- Then I am able to see all my plugins again --- but this breaks backwards compatibility when loading any older projects after checking that setting, because the plugin name becomes different!
This only recently started happening -- how can I fix this bug/issue without checking that box and breaking backwards compatibility?!?! HALLP!!!
p.s Here is my entire reaper-vstplugins64.ini
