Failed to scan Odin2 2.2.3 beta
https://www.thewavewarden.com/odin2
In latest Ubuntu studio, I can get the win vst3 running by wine, and I can get the new lv2 running in qtractor, but the linux vst3 is being ignored by four different reaper versions, with Odin placed in all the typical vst 3 paths, whereas U-he vst3 all work from .vst3 folder Any success stories appreciated! |

It works for me under Manjaro Linux. Did you copy the Soundbanks to /opt/odin2/ ?

Hi, looks like the installer put the sounds there OK.
I think I've put everything everywhere regarding the linux vst3, and paths. Very strange. I have a licensed reaper 5.9x, and also tried a few newer versions. My Ubuntu is up-to-date, and things work very well in general. At least the windows version in wine is a fallback. Such a great instrument! And great to have some cross-platform developers out there! Nope, no issues.
Did manually copy as suggested in the README.txt (~/.vst3/Odin2.vst3 might also work) As a sidenote ALL new juce5/6 plugs display UI distortion first time scanned and opened. Have to close Reaper and reopen to have a functional UI..?? Oh, if the developer by any chance read this; installing the soundbank to some place without needing admin rights, would be swell too

Just saw this...
Odin2 version 2.2.4 is working for me, Ubuntu 19.10 Reaper 6.14. I had Odin 2.2.0 installed, and I tried manual upgrade, which messed up... something. Probably the permissions for /opt/odin2. There is also an odin2 config file in /opt/odin2 (/opt/odin2/odin2.conf), although that shouldn't affect Reaper scanning it. Good luck! |

And since the source code for Odin is available here couldn't someone compile a 32 bit version of it if they had the old 32 bit Steinberg VST developer kit? Not that I want or need a 32 bit version, but just wondering out loud if that's all it would take to make a 32 bit version. |

Well how 'bout 33 1/3 bits then?
It sounds just like a real vinyl record album! |

I guess there are still the vestige headers around that one could use.
