word wrap on notes in item?

i'm using item notes to write some fairly extensive notes. the default notes option seems to have no preference to wrap this item text. sws does have an option to wrap the text but it seems to only apply to the text window and not the text as displayed within the item. is there an option somplace that will get the item text notes to wrap so they don't run out the end of the item?

ps
i use reaper on linux too and the sws word wrap isn't working on v5.979+dev0625.
sws version is 2.9.8 built on aug. 23 2018
