Default Panning Help Please (Simple One...)

Set-Up:

Wishing to record digtl piano in stereo, each of 2 tracks panned hard L & R.
Using Lexicon Omega interface (sparse but adequate) with Inputs 1 & 2.

Do I need to create 2 separate tracks in Rpr for this?
Had some weird results on first attempt.
Can it really be this hard??

Please outline simplest steps.

Thanks!

you can create 2 mono tracks if you wish THEN PAN ONE HARD LEFT AND THE OTHER HARD RIGHT or just record them as one stereo track

Default Pan

Okay, thanks.
Do I (somewhere in Rpr) need to tell the software that Input 1 is assigned to track __ and input 2 to track __ ?

Its a bit more intuitive

Per track you select where you want the track input to come from and you can determine if that is a stereo ie input 1&2 or mono input 1or input2
Click the input button in mcp

sorry mcp is short for mixer control panel ie the mixer in reaper

as opposed to the tcp track control panel which shows the tracks and waveforms
