Imagine you have a plugin in the MonitorFX chain (what we hear) that introduces 500 ms of delay(PDC)... then the play cursor is always 500 ms ahead of what we listen to, and the position numbers... This makes it confusing to watch.
Absolutely! But I have given up on a calculated visually synchronized representation of cursor and meters. It's one of the most annoying details in Reaper, and I think the solution would be extremely easy to implement (but what do I know).
