Maybe this is a dumb question but is the Catalina version Clang or not Clang?
My laptop which I don't use often for audio work is on Catalina but I may need to use it for some audio work this week.

The clang build is only worth using if you're using a hackintosh w/ a Ryzen, afaict. The Catalina build is the same as the normal build (ICC), just with hardened runtime signatures/notarization.

Thanks for the info. No time for Hackintosh building here so I'll stick to the normal build, or the Catalina version when needed.

+1 for the request for Clang builds again! I use a Ryzentosh and am stuck at version 6.03 since that was the last Clang build I can find. Cheers and thanks!

+1 Plz !
I experience that AMD Hackintoshes are getting more popular and thus more AMD Hacks are built, cause of more power bang for buck.
So there might be more Reaper users on such systems that would want this Reaper build.

Ryzen Clang Build!
Justin,
Thanks for the 6.13 clang build! Was just getting back using Reaper on my AMD 3900X system.

Just noticed the v6.32 Catalina release is actually the clang build - is that the case for all the Catalina versions or is it a recent change?
Based on this thread, I always thought the clang builds were just for hackintosh use so I'd always download the regular / non-clang prerelease versions.

It's been that way for quite some time -- the ICC-produced builds had some hit-or-miss issues with Rosetta2, and the performance increase of ICC was less significant on newer macs, so we switched them to use clang.

Ah gotcha, thanks - will grab the clang prerelease builds from now on.
