It's pretty cool. I love the flatness. I feel like all themes should be mostly flat. Trying to create the feel of depth just doesn't really work on a computer screen. I think some of the elements may clash to much. For example, going from the tcp trackname to the mute button is like going from one theme to another, not so easy on the eyes. Overall very nice though. Looking forward to the end result.

Edit. Width is awesome!

Very Creative Indeed....
Is the Phatty Channel Red from being record armed....?
I like the idea of the toolbars surrounding the arrange window too.

I like the design elements but dark text on a dark background or light text on a light background will usually eliminate a theme from consideration after a few minutes use. The text for the pan knob would be an example of this.

I love the flat look. It is so much easier to work with over long periods. Even gradient shading sometimes causes eye strain after a while.

This theme will be one I will give a test run but your other baby is my favorite still.

I like flat themes because they offer less distraction. So I like your theme and will definitely try it :-)

Two things I don't like that much:

The design of the Mute & Send/Receive buttons: IMHO too big, stylish and distracting. I prefer round or square Mute buttons and boring Send/Receive buttons (boring = no distraction). The only thing i miss since I migrated from Live 8 to Reaper is Abletons GUI.

Hope that helps to make your theme even better.
