Default New to Reaper - help

On the Piano Roll when clicking and dragging a note, Reaper puts an identical note on each beat - how can i stop this. This is probably dead easy for some of you. Looked all over the forum and web but unable to find the answer.

You have to turn off Loop source in Item properties.

Exit the piano roll (press Esc), now select your MIDI item, press F2, and you have Item properties shown. See the checkbox called Loop source? It's activated. Disable it.

This is for easy looping of MIDI drum loops and sequences etc.

You can disable this behavior by default in Properties->Project->Defaults->"Loop source for new MIDI items".

Cheers EvilDragon,

Sorted - It was driving me nuts.
Remember trying FL 10 years ago and could not get to grips with this kind of music software. I'm 50 in a few days time so thought i would give it another try.

How I DON'T miss such confusion.

Welcome aboard, Andy. Reaper is definitely worth the effort to learn it.
