Default Reverse a MIDI item ?

Hi all, is it possible to completely reverse a MIDI item ?

Imagine taking a score page and turning it upside down, so the last bar becomes the first and (for example) an A in treble clef becomes a C...a G becomes a D etc etc

Inside the MIDI editor I managed to do my first step, but not the second ("mirroring" the notes)

Thanks for your help!

have to do this in the midi editor.
try this:

Open the midi in the midi editor
select all notes
open Actions list (either from menu or type a ? mark)
filter on "reverse"

a bunch of options appear and I think you are looking one of the "invert" options (intervals I think). It may be you need to do a normal reverse and then an invert ie two operations and this might not be the inversion you are wanting

Hi and thanks a lot for your reply.

What you suggest is what I did...the first passage works perfectly (reverse selected notes)...what I can't achieve is the mirroring inversion: I've tried all the possible "invert" actions but somehow I don't get the desired resulting notes. For example a C becomes a B instead of an A and I don't understand how I could manage to make it work.

Thanks again for your help!

Perhaps you should define your mirror inversion.
Tell me what you expect for a C major scale ascending from C3 to C4.

Could you select all notes (Ctl A) and raise/lower them to where you want?

here's an example of a bar of what I want to achieve:

PS: in the end I just managed to do it...
- the "reverse all items" action doesn't alway work and I needed to adjust the results sometimes (like moving everything a quarter note before or after, but in the end I managed to make it)

- to create the "mirror" intervals I used Sibelius that has that function (it's called "invert" and once giving it B4 as the center point, it worked quite well)

Thanks!

I have to say: though I don't need/use reverse or invert on MIDI items often, these are both pretty basic MIDI functions that have been around for a long time; I had Opcode Systems' EZVision for Mac (the free version) in the mid-90s, and could easily invert or reverse MIDI... the programming can't be too outrageously complex, if it was implemented successfully on something that could run on a Mac LC in 1994.

This used to be a thing, as described on these very forms: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=141114

I've used them a lot, but they seem to have disappeared, and I can't find the actions in ReaPack either.

Anyone know how to find these old actions?

UPDATE: and just like that, it's started working again. I dunno, just popped to Reaper, repeated myself, and it worked this time. Weird. But 2020 is kinda that way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
