Default Take Lane copy paste

Hi. I have a bass track that i printed passing on my external eq. What i normally do in pro tools is keep the prints in different playlist so i can choose after which one i like most.
I was trying to replicate this in reaper but for some odd reason when i paste the printed take to ã new take lane on the main bass track, the place it goes is different from what it was supposed.
Take a look at the image and tell me what i´m doing wrong please.

Ok, looks like i had to drag a bit more the main bass track so it fills to the printed one, then it goes to the right place!
The take lane system still gets me confused everytime i try to use it...not has simples has in pro tools i´m afraid.

Yeah - I'm loving a lot of things about Reaper much more than Pro Tools, but the takes system is still a big issue for me too....to the point I'm still using Pro Tools for bigger tracking sessions. Really hoping an alternative to the current method is high on their list, it's definitely one of the hottest topics on the forum.... 🤞
