Default Sending tracks without modulation

I have a midi track with modulation (mod wheel data) that I want to send to a separate track that has a delay.

I then want to modulate that delay like a dub mix. To do that I need to use my mod wheel as I don't have a more advanced keyboard. I can set my delay VST to read data from my mod wheel which I will then input in real time.

Unfortuntely that mod wheel data clashes with the mod wheel data on the sent track.

Question: how can i use the send so that the sent track's mod wheel data doesn't clash with the delay data.

Thanks

In routing for the track change routing of "MIDI: All > All" to MIDI: None > All".
That way only the audio will be sent to your "FX Delay" track.
